Today marked the fourth day of preparations for our departure from Ipswich. Our Captain Mark Durhan and crew/chef Cat Vizor showed up first thing. We have a great team! There have been lots of stowing spares, buying food, and rechecking the boat. Mark goes up the mast tomorrow for a rig-check. Our weather router, Bill from Passage Weather, forecasts that the current high winds (gusts to 40 knots yesterday) will subside Monday night to be replaced with low winds. For now, our departure is planned for around 10 am on Tuesday for a ~30-hour leg to Guernsey.
